About ACCADEMIA OLEARIA SRL
The Fois Farm was born in the mid-1827 s by cultivating its estates in the countryside of
Alghero specializing more and more, with the passing of four generations, in olive growing
through the enhancement of the territorial resources and products.
The 2000 year is the turning point when Giuseppe Fois involves his sons Alessandro and
Antonello in the family farm which becomes Accademia Olearia.
Innovation and sustainability are the strengths of the company that operates in a
modern factory powered by alternative energy sources, such as solar panels and in the reuse of waste materials from production for heating in full respect of the environment. Over the years, the company has constantly invested in innovative production processes and today it can boast one of the most modern oil mill plants in Sardinia, fitted out with
state-of-the-art extraction technology which preserves the raw material properties to obtain a top-quality organoleptic product.
Since 2013, the Accademia Olearia with Tenute Fois has started a journey into the world of wine with Chlamys, a Vermentino certified DOC Sardinia.
Currently, Accademia Olearia is the largest producer of extra virgin olive oil certified “Sardegna PDO” of the island and holds the production leadership.
The “Riserva del Produttore” DOP SARDEGNA Is an Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is the result of a careful selection of olives, harvested while still completely green, and joined to a cold process of transformation that takes place in context with the harvest. The result is a product with a firm structure with a scent of olives, a Green fruity flavour, fresh and pungent, with firm hints of artichokes and thistles, as well as strong hints of bitter and spicy that are pleasing on the palate.
