We are happy to announce the 3rd edition of the JOOP DESIGN AWARD as part of the 10th edition of JOOP.
Starting from 2020 along with the qualitative awards the competition decided to award also producers who have committed with passion to communicate the identity of their product through the logo, the bottling, and the packaging: all very important details in a market like the Japanese one. This award wishes to bring to the attention of producers the importance of paring a good product with an appealing brand identity.
The panel of the jury for the 3rd JOOP DESIGN AWARD is comprised of some of the most prestigious names in the field of design and architecture from the most represented countries of the competition and the hosting one.
JOOP DESIGN AWARD 2022 JURORS
NINI ANDRADE SILVA
Nini is the creative mind behind the design of multiple hotels and her work is featured in prestigious international publications like the New York Times, Financial Times, Harrolds, Condé Nast Traveller, Wallpaper among others.
In 2011, she was distinguished by the Portuguese President with the Honoured Title “Grau de Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique” and is also an international consultant for IADE, thus integrating the panel of guest lecturers to the School of Design, and received IADE CAREER AWARD 2010. Recently she was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Colombia.
After carrying out her design practice in the fields of fitted kitchen furniture and packaging, her work is currently focused on food design research. Sibel Kutlusoy explores, shares knowledge, and connects professionals, aiming to create an interdisciplinary food design community. She has organized and hosted food design talks, exhibitions, conferences, and eating events. She is a part time instructor at the Department of Industrial Design, İstanbul Bilgi University and has taken part at the Design Türkiye awards 2021 as a jury member.
He is an art director for Alpi, B&B Italia, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro, and Sanlorenzo and has signed some of the most important architecture and interior projects like The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Miami Beach (2020), the Grand Park Hotel in Croatia (2019), The Oberoi Al Zorah Beach Resort Ajman in the UAE (2017), the 240-unit condominium Oceana Bal Harbour in Miami (2017). Piero Lissoni has received a series of international awards, including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Award, and the Compasso d’Oro ADI.
Pierini started his career in some of the most prestigious design studios in Argentina, the United States and Mexico. In 2007, he created one of the most featured branding agencies in the region, Pierini Partners that includes among clients Unilever, Pernod Ricard, Rones de Guatemala, Fifco, Inbev, Pepsico, among others. Pierini Partners is the only agency winner of 8 Pentawards Awards, the most important global packagings contest, being Adrián Pierini the first Latin American designer to integrate the distinguished jury for 3 consecutive years.
Innovation, material research, and technology with an insightful observation of her surroundings have allowed her to design in an extremely wide range of fields, and for prestigious companies from Poltrona Frau to Fratelli Guzzini, Fornara & Maulini, Italaquae…
She has received numerous acknowledgments, including selections for the ADI Design Index, Mentions of Honour at the Golden Compass, Design Plus, German Design Awards, European Product Design Award. Member of the ADI (Industrial Design Association) since 1979, and on the ADI’s National Directive Committee from 2004 to 2017, becoming vice president from 2014 to 2017. She is a member of the Orientation Committee for the National Innovation Award and she was also part of the first Italian Design Council.
