Masseria dei Nunzi
About Masseria dei Nunzi
Masseria dei Nunzi is settled in the remote inland of the Sannio region, immerse into nature and surrounded by charming landscapes. The farm has inherited the secular tradition of the olive tree cultivation passed through generations in our family hometown, Castelvetere in Val Fortore.
The objective is to produce an extra virgin olive oil that encompasses the goodness and beauty of our land. We pride ourselves in preserving the traditions of organic farming practiced for centuries, but with improved processes of harvesting, pressing and packaging, to evolve a high quality product into pure excellence of made in Italy for the world to taste. Today, Masseria dei Nunzi counts over 4000 plants, mostly Ortice besides other varieties such as Olivella, Leccino, Leccio del Corno, Pendolino, Ortolana, and Racioppella, which reach from Castelvetere in Val Fortore to San Bartolomeo in Galdo in the Sannio region. The land stretches up to ancient plantations with century-old trees, with the new saplings joining the family of ancient olive groves every year.
Respect for the environment and the land is at the heart of our work philosophy. We follow organic farming principles and methods on the entire estate.
