About Atena Società Agricola Srl

The “New Olive Growing Project,” launched in December 2019 with the incorporation of Atena Società Agricola S.r.l. (“Atena”), took shape through the planting of approximately 235 hectares on the border between Tuscany and Lazio. Once fully operational, the estate is expected to exceed 2.7 thousand tons of olives, positioning it among the most significant olive-growing initiatives in Central Italy in terms of scale, organization, and production capacity.

Today, Atena extends over approximately 1,200 hectares of specialized olive groves in 3 different farms Umbria Lazio and Tuscany, with a strong focus on leading Italian cultivars—such as Favolosa and Leccio del Corno—alongside selected international varieties, within an agronomic model designed to combine efficiency, sustainability, and consistent quality.

Our on-site mill in Castiglione del Lago Umbria is at the heart of our quality system: olives are harvested using our own equipment, transported directly, and crushed in less than 6 hours from picking. This short, fully controlled supply chain enables us to preserve maximum freshness, aromatic integrity, and varietal character, producing extra virgin olive oils of outstanding profile, created to compete at the highest level in the most selective contexts and international competitions.
