About Mandranova

Mandranova is a farm located in the south of Sicily in the Palma di Montechiaro area (Agrigento). The farm develops over ca. 180 Ha, the main products are extravirgin olive oil and almonds. Along with farming activities, Mandranova offers hospitality with a total of ca. 15 rooms situated in the estate.

The farm is runned by family members Giuseppe and Silvia who, at the end of the nineties, decided to renovate the family farm with the goal of combining traditions and modern technologies.

Mandranova produces extravirgin olive oil from Sicilian native cultivar groves using integrated agriculture techniques and polyconic vase pruning. Harvest occurs from mid September to mid October employing a  mix of mechanical and semi-mechanical harvest. The olives are processed in a proprietary mill through mechanical cold extraction. Storage and bottling are executed at the farm.

Mandranova offers to the market both monocultivar extravirgin olive oils (Nocellara, Biancolilla, Cerasuola, Giarraffa) and blends extravirgin olive oils (Nuovo, Multicultivar, Selezione). In term of organoleptic characteristics the oils tend to be medium to intense fruity, rich in polyphenols with green intense color.
