The Cooperative of Olive Growers of Valpaços, C.R.L., was founded on June 1, 1951 by 28 members. It currently has new facilities inaugurated on 08-09-2001.
Its area of action is the municipalities of Valpaços, Mirandela and Vinhais. Its corporate purpose is the extraction, packaging and marketing of olive oil from the olives produced by the cooperatives.

Partners: It currently has about 2000 cooperators producing olives for olive oil, with farms occupying about 7,500ha, where about 820,000 olive trees are planted.

Production: The average annual production of olives is 13,000,000 kg from which about 2,200,000 L of extra virgin olive oil are extracted with an average acidity of 0.2º.
More than 80% of this olive oil is sold packaged in 5L bottles and bottles of 0.75 liters or lower capacities, and is placed on the market under two brands owned by the Cooperative: the ROSMANINHO, VILANOVA and ANCESTRAL brands.
Export: – The Cooperative exports about 10% to 20% of its production to: Brazil; Luxembourg; England; Germany; Switzerland, France, Spain, among others.
